The PAB is composed of representatives from the European Commission and the Participating States, plays a key role in the governance of the Chips Joint Undertaking.
The PAB contributes to the drafting of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, provides input on the draft work programme, approves the launch of calls for proposals, and selects the
proposals that will receive funding.
Beyond its governance duties, the PAB ensures that national strategies and priorities are effectively reflected in Chips JU activities. By bringing together
representatives from all Participating States, the Board serves as a platform for coordination, alignment, and shared decision-making across Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem.
The PAB holds ordinary meetings at least twice a year in Brussels and elects its chairperson from among its members for a term of at least two years.
